Make The Cut

image

Make The Cut! : $79.95 (USD)
Make The Cut! allows users to cut virtually any shape you can imagine including TrueType Fonts using your Cricut™ machine without needing to purchase cartridges. With its easy-to-learn interface, you can unleash the true power of your Cricut™!

I have both MTC and Surecutsalot 2 and I love them both….I must say that I was impressed with the MTC software. I like some of the features with this software, and yet I also still love my SCAL2 program…but either way you are a winner, because both of these programs open up your possibilities to cut more with your Cricut! Freeing you from buying expensive cartridges. You be the judge, both softwares allow for a free trial download click here for MTC or here for SCAL2. Give them a try and then you can choose. Just think the cost for this software, it will replace purchasing 2 cartridges or one new release. If you have any questions, you can always email me at dimahi@hotmail.com and I will do my best to help you decide which program is best for you…Let me add this one thing, Make the Cut, or otherwise know as MTC has just updated their software to backup your Cricut cartridges…now how cool is this, you can now back up a cartridge and maybe sell or rent it out and recoup your purchase price for this software….hmmm just a thought.

Enjoy!

Bicycle with basket

I can remember having my first bike and it looked just like this…I had a basket on the front of it, I used to have to run errands for my mom and can remember putting them in the basket…We also tried to use it for our paper route that we had, but it was too small, so we had to wear the paper bags and I can remember them being so heavy….awwww the memories..so here’ s the bike for one of your layouts or for that special card! I’m thinking about making a card and putting flowers in and out of the basket using some flowersoft…I will be sure to post pictures when i get it made!  Enjoy!

Chaise Lounge

I’m not sure if that is what you call this…but I picture this in an old fashioned, Victorian home. I was thinking I might put one of my Magnolia girls sitting on it and use it on a card, I’m thinking of trying to make it look velvet, so I may use some flock! Enjoy!

Yet another flourish

I am really starting to like these little embellishments! You can do so much with them….they can sit on the corner of your photo mats, or stretch them the length or width of your page…they can be cut from patterned paper, cardstock, vinyl or even chipboard. The possibilities are endless. Enjoy

Wedding Cake

Here is a fun Wedding Cake or it could be an Anniversary cake…you could add number candles to it and make it like the big 40 or 50 cake!

Have fun with this one…and with the new break apart, you can take out the little fillers, and weld two of the cakes together and now you have a neat card, don’t forget to flip the second one :) Enjoy!

Champagne Glasses

So this would be a wonderful cutout for your wedding pages, or New Years pages, or move them together and make a card, or put them on a card…or use them as a photo mat, or how about this wild idea, place them on your mat, and cut your photo out in the shape of wine glasses! Ok…maybe not, but just use your imagination and you can come up with something I’m sure.

Rectangular Tag

Click on the link below to get a trial version of the Surecutsalot 2 program…it is a great program allowing you to use TTF fonts and cut them with your Cricut as well as svg files, and convert jpegs, and bmps…even if you are so talented, you can convert pngs, wpc etc.

Surecutsalot 2/SCAL

http://scrapitcmh.blogspot.com  Here is the link to our class scrapbooking layouts. I must say I have a very talented group of ladies, and they always make their pages their way…I very seldom have anyone make my layout, but it’s ok, cause we have a lot of fun…couldn’t ask for a nicer group of ladies.

Recently, I started an online scrapbooking class, where we do these layouts, we use Design Studio, SCAL or Make the Cut, the new software that is out there, definitely in the running with SCAL. So far, I have to say that SCAL is my favorite software, some say there is a learning curve to it, but I find it very easy to use and love how my cuts turn out. So you will have to be the judge. In the next few days I will post a link so you can get your trial version of the Make the Cut software so you can see for yourself which one you like best.

On to the file of the day…..Here is a nice rectangular tag…it may seem simple, but this again can be used to put someone's name in it, or weld two together and make a card, or stretch it for a bookmarker…so many ways to use this one cut…makes a great journaling mat. Oh and if you are really good at your cuts, you could very easily use this to cut out your picture in this shape and lay it on top of the mat.

So as usual, Enjoy!

Heart Tag

Just in time for Valentines Day, this really cute Heart Tag! I so love the new improvements to SCAL (Surecutsalot 2) making it so easy to break apart, so now you could very easily make a shadow behind this tag, making it absolutely adorable…or how about welding two together and making a Valentine card, just stretch it out…how cute would that be? Enjoy!

Directional Arrows

Here is a group of directional arrows that you can enlarge or make small for a card or different layouts. Cut them on chipboard, and spray with Maya Road mist or Glimmer mist them or emboss them...or cut pattern paper and glue to your chipboard...place on layouts with dimensionals. The ideas for these arrows are infinite. Enjoy

Directional Arrows $2.00

If you own a Cricut, here is an excellent software that allows you to cut any True Type font with your machine, as well as many cliparts can now be traced within the program turning them into an svg format, this feature alone makes getting SCAL2 worth it as you will never need to purchase any carts.
There are thousands of files out there for you to download for free or for a small fee that you can cut with your Cricut. I must say I use this software for almost every layout I have done when using my Cricut. I actually use it more than cartridges....don't tell Provo :)
